A Trip to Taipei

We just got back from a beach trip (July25-27). We all had fun. Wish you were all here too.

We are into the most critical stage of building. We are getting ready to start on plumbing, wiring, AC/heating , and insulation. And because of this, David has decided to cancel his trip to Taiwan. We want to have the house done as soon as possible so you can all come visit us.

Gone but not forgotten

Well, I never thought this day would come but I just sold my beloved M3, with only 4216 miles on the odometer. It was sad to see it driven away by the buyer. I have never seen my car been driven as I was the only one who drove this car. But in the last year I only added 800 miles to it. I just didn't have the chance to really enjoy the car. This picture was taken when Justin and I picked up the car back in 8/18/2005.

一次很特別的搬家經驗

自婚後，我們前前後後曾經搬家十次，經驗十分豐富， 幾
乎 每次從打包到搬運總是靠著我們夫妻兩雙手合力完成。
唯有 一次非常幸運有自諒大弟來訪，幫了我們一次大忙，
雖然事 隔多年，每當憶起當年往事，談起搬家，令我想起
的總是這 唯有一次有親人依靠的可貴搬家經驗。
達尊當時是在紐澤西一家教學醫院當駐院醫師， 正接受最
嚴格的訓練，每三天便須要駐院輪值夜班， 非常辛苦而且
薪資 少得可憐。我們兩人為了省錢則是租賃在一個義大利
家庭的 地下室的一個小房間，裡面連暖氣設備也沒有，平
常則靠著 房東家的暖爐餘溫取暖，至於髒衣服還得開車到
附近的自助 洗衣房去洗滌。
直到我得知懷孕時，我們這才決定找一間比較好的住處，
好 讓即將來臨的孩子有一個較好的成長空間與環境。在北
紐澤 西租屋昂貴且不易，加上我們僅有的只是達尊那份微
薄的薪 資，想要找到理想又廉價的住處實在不易。等到一
切就緒可 以搬家時我則已是身懷六甲，大腹便便了。
當時的自諒仍就讀於醫學院，剛好學校放春假，第一次 到
美 東來玩便碰上有身孕的老姊要搬家，怎麼說也不能袖手
旁觀， 加上二姐夫醫院值班不在家而租約又已到期了，大
弟於是決 定在他離開前租一輛搬家卡車陪我一起搬家。
搬家當天，是個下雪天，雪花飄飄雖是美麗， 然搬起家來
可 真辛苦！加上我有孕在身，只能搬一些小東西，其它大
件行 李則全由大弟包辦，至於床與衣櫥則等達尊下班回來
才一起 搬到新住處。由於下雪天冷路滑，我還因此在搬箱
子時跌了 一大跤，大弟本性善良，見我這孕婦跌得四腳朝
天，害怕我 會因此而流產，這位帥哥大男生竟哭了起來，
讓我十分感動 也 忘了身體的疼痛與懷孕摔跤的懼怕。
這樣的一次搬家經驗，讓我永生難忘。 難忘在我們生活最
艱 苦時，有幸有一個拔刀相助的弟弟， 而這份可貴的親情
令我 無法忘懷。那年的紐澤西雖然寒冷， 然而弟弟的幫忙
與關愛 卻 溫暖了我的心。直到現在只要想起這個與大弟一
起搬家的 經 驗，我最想說的是發自內心深處的一句 "自諒，
謝謝你！"
